What people are wondering about Empowered Heart Art Journal
The ultimate goal of this course is to provide value to your life. This curated blend of creativity, mindfulness, and journaling exercises was designed with the sole purpose of helping people cope with the uncertainty and stress that is so common in our daily lives.
Great question! There are six lessons in the course, and they include a variety of art journaling techniques, including watercolor and acrylic painting, line drawing, collage, and more. Most of the activities are mixed media, which means you will be using more than one kind of material to create the journal page. You can see a full list of techniques in the general resources section.
No, there are no live classes. I wanted to make this class as easy to fit into your schedule as possible. You can simply click on a lesson whenever you have time, and all the videos and resources are there for you. You can set a pace of one class per week, or do them whenever you are able to. Plus, you can engage in the Facebook group whenever you have time to make connections, and ask questions whenever you want. The choice is yours!
I want this class to be accessible to many, so the list of materials is not going to break the bank. I have a list in the Course Introduction section, plus a video where I talk about the materials to give you a better idea of what I use.
Without the support of these organizations, this project would not be possible. Thank you to the Government of New Brunswick, ArtsNB, and Sarah Sarty Photography.
